SHRMStore Login

 How do I log in? 

In order to login to the SHRMStore site you will need an email address and a password. 

New Customers -- SHRM members: To login in to the SHRMStore, we recommend that you use the primary email address as your user name that is on your SHRM membership account. We also recommend that you use your SHRM member number as your password.

New Customers -- Non-members:  When you make your first purchase, you will need to create a SHRMStore account. The email address and password you use to create your account will be your login each time you want to make a purchase. Non-members do not receive member pricing. To become a SHRM member, call 1-800-283-SHRM (7476).

 

How do I receive member pricing?

 In order to receive member pricing on the SHRMStore, you must have an active SHRM membership.  Non-members do not receive member pricing. To become a SHRM member, call 1-800-283-SHRM (7476).

 

 

What if I forgot my password?

 You can retrieve your password by entering your email address and clicking on the link Forgot Your Password? on the login page to have your password emailed to you. You must enter the email address you previously used to enter the store in order for this feature to work.  

 

 

Can I change my email address or password?

 Yes, you can change your email Address and Password. After you log in to the SHRMStore, go to Contact Information/ Edit from My Account page.

 

 

Why can't I log into the store?

 

The SHRMStore upgraded its website in December 2010. Therefore, existing SHRMStore customers will need to create a new account, including login.

How can I access My Account?

My Account information can be accessed after you have successfully logged into the SHRMStore by clicking on the My Account tab on the top horizontal menu.

 

 

Can I view my order history?

 

 

Yes. Account information and order history are accessible after you have successfully logged in.  To see your order history, click on the My Account tab and then click on the My Orders link. This link will display your previous orders placed through the SHRMStore website.

 

 

How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of an order go to the My Account tab and click on the My Orders link. Select the order you want to check and click Enter.

How do I receive member pricing?

 

 

SHRM members: After you have received your login information, please log into the SHRMStore to receive SHRM member pricing.

Searching the SHRMStore

How do I search for books?

You can search the SHRMStore by author, book title, keyword, item number or ISBN. The search engine is available on the top right side of each SHRMStore page.

To search by Author: Enter the LAST name only of the author and click the Search button. If the book has more than one author, search for one last name only.  

To search by Title: Enter the title or words from the title and click the Search button.

To search by Keyword: Enter the keyword and click the Search button. When searching by keyword, the search engine will match character strings in the title and description fields. This search engine recognizes Boolean search terms such as "and", "or" and "+". For example, you can search for "employee and benefits,"

To search by item number: Enter the item number and click the Search button. 

To search by ISBN: Enter the ISBN and click the Search button.

 

 

Can I view books by subject?

 

 

A list of books presorted by subject (or categories) is available from the left hand side of the screen under Browse by Topics. Click on your desired topic and then click on the sub-topic in which you are interested.  

 

 

How can I find other books by the same author?

 

 

From the detail description view of a book, click on the "Additional Information" tab and click on the author's name. You can also find all books by an author by entering the author's name in the Search field.

 

 

What if I can't find the book I'm looking for in SHRMStore?

 

 

If you can't find the book you are looking for, please send an email inquiry to SHRMStore@shrm.org.  Please include as much information as possible about the book such as title, author, publisher, date, ISBN.

Placing Orders

Can I put items in my shopping cart and come back later?

 

 

Yes. If you have "cookies" enabled on your computer and you log in again on the same computer, your items will still be in your cart.  Please see SHRMStore's Privacy Statement for more information on "cookies". 

What shipping and other charges are applied to my order?

 

Shipping charges: SHRMStore charges shipping, handling and insurance based on destination and weight. Ground shipping is currently the only service available. However, if you would like to place an order using 2-day or Overnight shipping, please place your order by calling 800-444-5006 and selecting option 1. (For international customers, including Canada, dial 1-770-280-4188).  You can fax orders to 770-442-9742. The SHRMStore hours of operation are 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m. Eastern Time Monday -- Friday.UPS Ground

Sales tax: For orders from residents of NY 8.9 % sales tax is added, IL 6.8% sales tax is added, VA 5% sales tax is added, MN 6.5% sales tax is added, and GA 7.0% sales tax is added. Canadian customers will pay duties and taxes upon receipt.  

If you have tax exempt status, please place your order by calling 800-444-5006 and selecting option 1. Please have your tax exempt number available.

 

Can I place my order by phone or fax instead?

You can phone in your order by calling 800-444-5006 and selecting option 1. (For international customers, including Canada, dial 1-770-280-4188).  You can fax orders to 770-442-9742. The SHRMStore hours of operation are 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m. Eastern Time Monday -- Friday.

How can I be sure my order was received?

You will receive an email confirmation of your order.  You may also log in and select My Account to check your order status. Click on "My Orders" on the left hand navigation pane.

 

 

How do I know if an item is in stock?  

 

Each item shows the stock status. If it is in stock, the availability will show, ‘In Stock". If it is not in stock, Availability will show, "Out of Stock." You can also contact our fulfillment center at 800-444-5006 to check on the quantity in stock.

If you place an order the item is on Backorder, your entire order will be placed on backorder. Most items on backorder are in stock within 2 weeks or less. Your order will ship as soon as all items in your order are in stock.

What if I lose my confirmation number?

You may log in and select My Account to check your order, including confirmation number. Click on "My Orders" on the left hand navigation pane.

 

How do I pay with a personal or company check?

Yes, we do accept international orders. However, additional shipping charges are applied on international orders, including Canada.

Do I need an account to make a purchase?

 

 Yes, you need to have an account to make a purchase on the SHRMStore site.

If you already have an account with the SHRMStore, you can login in any time or at checkout.  Please see the instructions under: How do I login?

 I tried to create an account and got a message that my email address already exists.

 

This message means that you already have a SHRMStore account under email address you entered. 

Please click on "Forgot Your Password?" on the Login page to have your password emailed to you so you can place your order.

Shipping/Returns/Canceling Orders

How soon will my order be shipped?

 

If all items are in stock, your order will typically ship within 2 business days.

If you place an order the item is on Backorder, your entire order will be placed on backorder. Most items on backorder are in stock within 2 weeks or less. Your order will ship as soon as all items in your order are in stock. You can place a separate order for the item on backorder and receive free shipping on the item. Simply use promo code “Backorder” at checkout.

If you want to receive the items that are in stock, you will need to place a separate order for the items in stock. 

 

What is SHRMStore's return policy?

Within 15 days of receipt of your order you can return books in unused condition for replacement or refund. Books returned after 15 days will be credited at 50% of their original purchase price. Returns are not accepted after 30 days. Videos must be returned within 7 days of receipt to qualify for a full refund. Software and audiotapes are not refundable.

Can I return a book online?

Can I return a book that I bought from a SHRM conference? 

All sales at conferences can only be returned before the conference ends. After the conference ends, all sales are final.

 

 

Can I expedite my shipping?

Can I cancel my order?

Please call the SHRMStore fulfillment center at 1-800-444-5006 and select option 1 (international orders call 1-770-280-4188) or email shrmstore@shrm.org.  We will do our best to cancel your order. If it has already shipped, you will need to return the items upon receipt.

This email is sent out to keep SHRMStore customers abreast of the latest offerings that are relevant to HR Professionals.  You do not need to be a SHRM member to receive SHRMStore eNewsletters. The SHRMStore newsletter is mailed out weekly to SHRM Members and Nonmembers as well as SHRMStore who have requested to receive it. Each week the newsletter includes books on specific subject areas such as HR Legal Guides, Performance Reviews, HR Management and Women in HR.
